World Day Against Trafficking in Persons 2026

July 30 is recognized as World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, a day dedicated to raising awareness about human trafficking and recognizing the experiences of victims and survivors. Human trafficking continues to impact people around the world and can take many forms, including forced labor, sexual exploitation, and other types of exploitation.

Human trafficking often involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to exploit individuals for the benefit of others. Traffickers may target people experiencing vulnerability by using manipulation, threats, or false promises. While trafficking may seem like something that happens far away, it can affect communities everywhere, including ours. Learning the signs of trafficking and understanding how exploitation happens are important steps in helping protect others and support survivors.

At Bethesda House, we believe awareness is an important part of ending human trafficking. This World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, we encourage our community to take time to learn more, share resources, and stand alongside survivors as we work toward a future where every person has the opportunity to live with safety, dignity, and freedom.
